US Army Msg Donald E. Edwards



The History

Master Sergeant Donald Edwards was killed in action while fighting the enemy in Korea on December 17, 1951.  He was 24 years old.



The Family

MSG Donald Edwards was from Lee Center, NY.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edwards.  He had two sisters, Mrs. Leon (Joan) Kidney of Blossvale and Mrs. James (Sheila) Parsons of Lee Center.  He also had one brother, Albert Edwards, Jr. of Rome.

Master Sergeant Edwards was a member of the 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army.

Master Sergeant Edwards was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on August 28, 1951. He returned to combat and was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 17, 1951.
