PFC Juras attended St. Patrick’s School and the Boys Trade School in Utica. He was employed by Fink Brothers Knit Goods before enlisting in the Army at the outbreak of the Korean War.

PFC Juras served with the 38th Infantry Regiment, F CO 2 BN, 2nd Infantry Division of the United States Army. His parents were notified that he was missing in action in May of 1951, later confirmed that he had been killed.
