US Army PFC Charles F. Bird

The History

US Army PFC Charles F. Bird was killed in action on September 19, 1950 during the Korean War in the Pusan Perimeter – Southwest. He was 17 years old.  His 18th birthday would have been September 21.

The Family

PFC Charles F. Bird lived in Rome, NY  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Bird of 108 Railroad Street.  He was the brother of Glenn, Bernard, Ronald and Mrs. James (Pauline) Kotary all of Rome.
