US Army Pfc Donald Edward Hobin



The History

US Army PFC Donald Edward Hobin was captured by the enemy and died in a Prisoner of War Camp on November 27, 1950 in Korea.  He was 18 years old.



The Family

PFC Donald Edward Hobin lived in Utica, NY.  He was the son of Mr. William J. Hobin and Mrs. Robert Floyd Houck.

PFC Hobin was listed as Missing in Action in March of 1950. It was reported that he died in a prison camp run by the Communists.

In 1955 PFC Donald Edward Hobin’s remains were returned and are buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Oneida Street, Utica, NY.
