US Army Specialist George Robert Denslow

 

 

The History

US Army SPC George Robert Denslow was killed in action in Vietnam when he was struck by mortar fire near Chu Lae on February 8, 1968.  He was 21 years old.

 

 

The Family

Army SPC George Denslow was from Boonville, NY.  He was the son of Mr. George Eck of Boonville and Mrs. Hilda Denslow of Utica. George had three half sisters, Mrs. Clayton (Helen) Gleasman of Steuben, Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Williamson of West Leyden and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Longamore of Camden.

US Army SPC George Robert Denslow was a graduate of Boonville Central School.  Before entering the Army, George was employed by the Boonville Furniture Corp.
