CPL Anthony Montoya attended St. Anthony’s Preparatory School in Watkins Glenn, he then graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1965. Following his graduation, Anthony attended Niagara University for two years. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the end of his second year.

USMC LCPL Anthony John Montoya kept busy from the time he was a young boy. He delivered newspapers, he worked at General Cable Corporation in Rome. He also worked at Rome Strip Steel Company and the Rome Hospital. He was a member of the Transfiguration Church where he served as an alter boy. He was also a member of the Teenagers for Kennedy Club and the Rome Post VFW. Thank you LCPL Anthony John Montoya. We will never forget your sacrifice for our country.
