USMC PFC Louis Arthur Wuest, Jr. was from Utica, NY. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Pearl Jones) Wuest. Mrs. Wuest passed away in 1953. Louis had one brother, Edward and five sisters, Mrs. Anthony (Thelma) Cariglio, Mrs. Clarence (Marilyn) Canter, Mrs. Harold (Barbara) McSweeney, Mrs. Ernest (Lois) Yager and Mrs. James (Diane) Ludlow.

USMC PFC Louis Arthur Wuest, Jr. graduated from Sacred Heart School and Utica Free Academy in 1967. He was employed by the Victory Store in Yorkville until entering the Marines in 1968.

USMC PFC Louis Arthur Wuest, Jr. died one month before completing his first year in Vietnam. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Utica. Freedom Parks honor him, we will never forget his sacrifice.
